From 21 September a new exhibition project will come to life in the Church of San Lorenzo in Cento.
An operation born from afar and strongly supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region, in particular in the figure of Councilor Mauro Felicori, who brought two Municipalities into dialogue under the sign of Guercino. But it also found the active and precious collaboration of two entities in our area: the Cassa di Risparmio di Cento Foundation and the Patrimonio degli Studi Foundation.
A full-bodied and complex project which not only brings hidden works to light, but which in fact expands the cultural offer of Cento which confirms itself as a fundamental stage for the knowledge of the seventeenth-century painter, precisely in the year in which he was a great protagonist: from the reopening of his Civica Pinacoteca il Guercino to the very rich exhibition at the Royal Museums of Turin and up to the upcoming exhibition at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome, scheduled for autumn 2024.
